That's what shows on my invoice.

However, they have another part number: Crucial CT12864X335 (16-Chip 1GB) (Micron’s MT16VDDF12864H)

that shows up on the NetGear hardware compatibility list:
http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=83

It's about the same price, maybe a little less.

Use this link, search for the part number listed - CT12864X335:

DDR PC3200 • CL=3 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR400 • 2.5V • 128Meg x 64

ReadyNAS Forum
says :
*ReadyNAS does not support CL=3.0.
*ReadyNAS does not support 1G-bits chip, that means 8-chip 1GB DIMM will not be supported

CT12864X40B is a CL3 eight chip SODIMM. Are you sure this works ?

hi, thanks for documenting this! i found the memory part number on ebay 10/1/09 for 49 plus shipping. going to add a couple of disks, and upgrade the memory.

i have two of these nas... one for at home, one for at work, and they sync so i have automatic offsite storage of important files.

thanks for the info

It did seem to help a little. Considering the small cost I was happy.

I don't know what the maximum is but 1GB is affordable - doubt if more would help much.
